Who are CFB?

CFB stands for the Corporation of Finance Brokers. Membership requires firms to adhere to a strict code of advertising practice. This 12 point charter goes beyond the statutory obligations of the Consumer Credit (Advertisement) Regulations 1980 giving you greater protection. The CFB ensures that the advertisement to which you responded is not only "Legal Decent and Honest", but also not misleading in its content. It did not make false or extravagant claims. The CFB liaises closely with major lending institutions and ensures that member firms are kept up to date with current trends within the profession. A CFB member will always consider your existing financial obligations before offering further credit, thus ensuring that he does not over commit you.
